Welcome to Vibrant Acres

We are a colour farm growing and harvesting natural colours from plants for use in fibre and craft

This spring, we will be trading our bustling downtown balcony garden for four acres of rolling farmland in the beautiful Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. We’ll be sharing our creative explorations and learnings as we go. We hope you’ll join us as we step into this new chapter.

Meet Us

We’re moving from city to country to build a life of creative making, connect with the land, and live more sustainably. We’ve been hearing this call within ourselves and it’s time to see where it leads.

The Garden

From a fairly rough patch of land, we intend to create a beautiful garden overflowing with flowers and plants with which we can make a veritable array of stunning colour.

Where it begins…

Creating Colour

Over time, our barn will become a studio space in which we can create colours and craft handmade dyed goods. The range of colours nature has to offer is simply astonishing.
